The Boston Red Sox announced on Friday night that right-handed pitcher Isaiah Campbell has been added to the 15-Day Injured List with a right shoulder impingement, which will delay the return of infielder/outfielder Bobby Dalbec to Polar Park for Worcester Red Sox fans who were hoping see him next week when the team hosts the Durham Bulls.
The Red Sox recalled Dalbec from Triple-A Worcester after placing Campbell on the IL, and this move comes after Dalbec went 1-for-7 with a home run in two games at Syracuse.
In his 300 career Major League games, Dalbec has hit .228 (199-for-872) with 46 home runs and a .737 OPS.
