The NFL Scouting Combine is finally here, marking a significant milestone in the journey from amateur athlete to NFL Pro. Over 300 of the best college football players have been personally invited to participate in the most prominent pre-draft evaluation process in the NFL. Among the selected few are eight of the very best college football players from New England, each with the potential to become the next NFL star.

Christian Mahogany, an impressive junior from Boston College, is a force to be reckoned with on the field. His exceptional mastery of angles and outstanding leverage make him a dominant player. Mahogany’s long arms and heavy hands make him an effective pass protector, and his strong punch and firm grip allow him to effortlessly dominate his opponents. With a mean streak and a relentless attitude, he is a valuable addition to any NFL team.

Elijah Jones, a fifth-year senior from Boston College, has a natural talent for ball-hawking. In 2022, he played in 11 games and recorded 35 tackles, 2 assists, and 9 stops. Jones’s ball skills are exceptional, with 11 pass breakups and 2 interceptions, making him a valuable asset for any NFL team. He has the speed to recover and the potential to score on any play.

Jalen Coker, who chose to enroll in Holy Cross after high school, had an extraordinary senior year in 2023. In 11 games, he recorded 59 receptions for 1035 yards and 15 touchdowns, averaging 17.5 yards per catch. Coker has excellent coordination, reliable hands, and an ability to adjust to balls thrown behind him, making him a valuable asset for any NFL team.

C.J. Hanson, a fifth-year senior from Holy Cross, is a tenacious player. He played in 11 games in 2023, allowing only five QB hurries, three QB hits, and no sacks while playing at right guard. However, he needs to work on his upper and lower body coordination to become an even more formidable player in the NFL.

Christian Haynes, who chose to join Connecticut after high school, has the potential to be a valuable addition to any NFL team. In 2023, he played as a right guard in 12 games, allowing only six QB hurries, one sack, and no QB hits. With his skills, he could become a reliable player for any NFL team.

Eric Watts, from Connecticut, is a versatile player with a broad skill set. In 2023, he played in 12 games, logging 562 snaps, and added 28 tackles, 6 assists, and 23 stops. As a pass rusher, he recorded 35 total pressures, including 32 QB hurries, one QB hit, and 2 sacks throughout the season. As a fifth-year senior, he ran for 745 yards on 161 carries, with 9 touchdowns and 2 fumbles. In the passing game, he had 68 receptions for 708 yards, making him an all-around player in the NFL.

Kiran Amegadjie, while promising, needs to work on his technique to become a more effective player. He has a tendency to bend at the waist, which can compromise his leverage and reduce his effectiveness on the field. Additionally, he has yet to face higher-level competition, making it difficult to predict how he’ll perform against NFL caliber opponents.
